SQL Scripting
This one day course provides an introduction to SQL (Structured Query Language) for non IT developers. It is aimed at anyone who needs to know how to extract finance and non-finance data from databases within their organisation. SQL is a fundamental tool used to interrogate databases and is a core component of data analytics.
The course goes through the language that queries these databases, looking at its syntax and structure in order to return the relavent data. The last few topics are short examples of the use of SQL in modern Data Analysis, which would form a bridge to further learning with Power BI etc.
The course will be hands-on with scripts being executed on a SQL Server database, but the skills learned can be applied to any SQL based database.
