This course is to the standard of ISO18404 , LCI (Lean Construction Ireland)and CISSC. It is a CISSC exam course on the methods of Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt. Lean Six Sigma can be successfully be implemented in all sectors of any organisation. The aim of this Green Belt course is to improve the understanding and awareness of learners in Lean Six Sigma processes and techniques in approaches to process improvement, reducing waste, boosting productivity and increasing overall profitability.

Purpose

This Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course is primarily aimed at anyone within an organisation who are about to embark on, or who have recently commenced, a Lean or Six Sigma
business improvement initiative. The Green Belt is a practical course for aligning the company’s Management Team and Frontline Staff towards a common understanding of the philosophy, and objectives of a Lean Six Sigma transformation journey and how to craft the business case for change. On this Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course participants will learn about Six Sigma, Lean principles and the practical application of these tools and techniques, as well as how they can actively direct, manage and participate in the transformation journey.

The course is recommended for all those in an organisation who want to get a management overview of the concepts, tools and methodologies of Lean and Six Sigma.
This course is suitable for senior managers, department managers, line managers, internal consultants, change agents, project managers and team leaders who will be
responsible for directing, managing and reviewing the performance of Black Belts and Green Belts who will be delivering Lean and/or Six Sigma projects.

• Understand the history and reasons for Lean Six Sigma
• Understand the concepts, tools and principles of the methodology
• Understand the Six Sigma philosophy, the DMAIC methodology and the tools and techniques used in lean Six Sigma.
• Take part in small projects using the understanding of tools
• Have an understanding of how Lean Six Sigma can be integrated into the organisation’s management systems
• Identify some initial criteria and guidelines for selecting, reviewing and evaluating Lean Six Sigma projects.
• Have a practical understanding of how these programs can be applied to deliver an effective continuous improvement program to reduce waste and variation in the organisation.
