Taking Control of your Inbox and Time
More and
more we are being run by our email Inbox.
To quote a phrase, 'We are drowning in a digital deluge'. For many workers it is now routine to have
hundreds of unread emails in their inbox just waiting for when they 'get
time'. This just won't happen!
The
average executive loses six weeks per year retrieving misplaced information
from messy desks and - more commonly- mismanaged computer files. The cost in
salary and lost productivity is enormous. More >>>

Motivation and Personal Development
Social and
personal competencies are vital for a healthy and productive life.
Self-awareness, optimism, and empathy can enhance satisfaction and productivity
at work and in other aspects of life.
The
workplace is the ideal setting for the promotion of these competencies
in adults because work plays a central role in their lives. Not only
do most of us spend the largest portion of our waking time at work,
but our identity, self-esteem, and well-being are strongly affected
by our work experiences.

Oracel 10g:Training Rewarded
Oracle
say Database 10g is their most innovative release, leading the database
industry into entirely new ground in clustering, automation, high availability
and more.
New
automation capabilities can decrease the cost of database administration - but
training is essential to get the most from 10g.
Ease of
management heads the list of requirements for moving stressed IT administrators
into deploying new systems and Database 10g provides a number of tools that
will mitigate technical risk and data grooming issues.
One key
feature is the Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor, which keeps a running
snapshot allowing users return to events that might be associated with
exceptional situations. Administrators can view data in context, such as SQL
statements being issued against the database at the actual time of the observed
behavior. This contrasts with previous versions and many other database
platforms.
Other
features such as Unified Task Scheduler and improved Flashback
Query operations make 10g a product which rewards the devotion
of training time to becoming familiar with its capabilities.
Professional
Training offer a range of Oracle training programmes which
can be customised to the specific requirements of our clients
and offered nationwide. Click

Diversity in the workplace
Diversity
in business is much wider than the familiar race or gender
issues. At its core is the capacity of managers to
influence all staff in understanding and working to achieve
their organizational goals whether in the Public or Private
sectors.
Many diversity management
courses show only the positive side of having a diverse
workforce; no conflicts, no misunderstandings, no organisational
change or compromise. These courses regard new employees
as exactly the same as existing staff; but with the peculiarity
of, for example, not being Irish or perhaps having a disability.
The reality is that a badly managed, diverse workforce can
be a source of conflict rather than synergy. However, if
an organisation wants to compete in the Irish and global
economy, these challenges must be acknowledged and managed.
When we learn to
use diversity in the workplace, rather than shying away
from it, we move from 'not knowing what to expect' from
staff, to expecting high performance from all staff.' Our
Profiting from Diversity course addresses these key issues. Click

Motivation and Personal Development
Social and
personal competencies are vital for a healthy and productive life. Self-awareness,
optimism, and empathy can enhance satisfaction and productivity at work and in
other aspects of life.
The
workplace is the ideal setting for the promotion of these competencies in
adults because work plays a central role in their lives. Not only do most of us
spend the largest portion of our waking time at work, but our identity,
self-esteem, and well-being are strongly affected by our work experiences.
Research has also shown that the workplace is also an
ideal place for promoting social and emotional competencies because it often is
there that people feel their lack most keenly (ref. EI Consortium). When people
realize that social and emotional abilities hold the key to greater career
success, they become eager to develop those abilities. At the same time, as
employers recognize that their profit depends on the emotional intelligence of
their employees, they become amenable to launching programs that will increase
it.
Our
Motivation
and Personal Development course recognises
the importance of motivation to personal development within
an organisation, by teaching participants the core components
that underlie a positive approach to work life
