Success Over Stress
Workplace Stress often stems from unforeseen
difficulties with some aspect of your working environment. It’s reasonable to assume that if you choose
to be a firefighter, a police officer or a trapeze artist, you are prepared for
the stress that goes with the job. More

Agile Project Management: Scrum Master Certification - PMI Approved Training
Agile
software development describes a family of methodologies based on four core values:
- Individuals and
interactions over processes and tools
- Working software over
comprehensive documentation
- Customer collaboration
over contract negotiation
- Responding to change over following
a plan
These
values guide development practices that minimise project risk through short development cycles, enhance
communication, and rapidly adapt to changing business needs. The end result is
a value-driven software development approach; fundamentally different from the
traditional “Waterfall” methodology widely used today. More >>>

Virtualisation is transforming the IT landscape: Keep in touch with Certified VMWare Training in Cork and Dublin
Virtualisation
allows multiple virtual machines, running different operating systems, to run
in isolation, on the same physical machine. Each virtual machine has its own
set of virtual hardware (RAM, CPU, NIC, etc.), upon which an operating system
and applications are loaded. The operating system “sees” a consistent, normalised
set of hardware regardless of the actual physical hardware components. More

Success Over Stress
Workplace
Stress often stems from unforeseen difficulties with some aspect of your
working environment. It’s reasonable to
assume that if you choose to be a firefighter, a police officer or a trapeze
artist, you are prepared for the stress that goes with the job. However, if you
are recruited as a clerical worker and are then required to work outside that
remit, in an environment that is not what you expected, this may create undue
stress. According to a United Nations
report, Job Stress is the 21st Century Epidemic.
This
course enables you to look at your stresses and why stress need not be a negative
factor in your life. An increase in stress increases the adrenalin and energy
in your body. Let us show you how to use this energy to make changes, overcome
challenges and put stress to work for you.

Agile project management is as
radically different from traditional project management as agile processes are
different from traditional methodologies. Rather than planning, instructing and
directing, the Agile project manager facilitates, coaches and serves. In the
Scrum Agile practice this person is called a Scrum Master.
Professional
Training, in partnership with Exoftware, is now offering Scrum Master certification
training in Cork. In this course participants learn how to
guide a development team, project, or organisation through Agile practice by
fostering the adoption of new attitudes and collaborative processes and by working
to remove institutional barriers. Exercises, case studies, and examples are
used to assist participants in developing the knowledge, skills, capabilities
and insights needed to make the shift from traditional management practice to
Agile practice.
This
two-day course is approved by the Project Management Institute for16 PDUs (Professional
Development Units). For public dates see click here
or contact us for in-house courses.

is at the forefront in helping businesses with scalability, security and
management of their global IT infrastructure. To gain certification in VM Ware,
you must attend a certified training programme.

Leadership Skills
The need for high quality managers is intensifying as “flatter”
organisation structures and self-directed teams mean that the actual number of
managers needed is decreasing. However, the need for quality managers, people
who can manage themselves and others in a high stress environment, is
increasing.
Successful management requires specific skills, in addition
to knowledge of key business practices. However you define your role - manager, leader,
communicator, motivator – no matter what managerial “hat” you are wearing, the
focus must always be on improving the bottom line while achieving the best
results. Front-line managers in any
corporate or government organisation in Ireland today face a difficult,
ever-changing environment. Standard
textbook approaches simply will not achieve what’s required and
multi-disciplinary skills are vital.
This new course acknowledges the difficulties facing
managers in Ireland
and assists participants in improving their skills for the realities faced
daily. We not offer abstract academic concepts and lecture experienced managers
on how to apply them. The content is based on real-world experience and is
guaranteed to engage participants and provide them with the tools required to
bring them to the next level in management.
On average, we use less than 4% of the capacity of our
minds. What can we do about that missing 96%?
If we use only 1% more of our brainpower, we’ll be 25% more effective.
