Description:
This course introduces one to the architecture and the administration of web servers and application servers using the Oracle10g Application Server platform. The course includes a combination of in-depth conceptual discussions together with numerous hands-on implementation exercises. Differences and capabilities between the R1, R2 and R3 releases of Oracle Application Server 10g are all included. The target audience for this course is Oracle application server administrators. Database administrators, information systems architects, and Java and web-based application developers interested in becoming familiar with the application server platform will also benefit from this course.
Prerequisites:
It is assumed that the reader has some general experience using, developing or administering information systems technologies. General familiarity with at least the concepts of the following technologies is also useful:

HTML or XHTML
The Java programming language and Java development.
The operating system platform, such as Linux, Unix or MS Windows, on which the Oracle Application Server environment will operate.
